Camdyn and Lanie had lots of fun opening presents and playing with their new toys. So much fun that neither of them wanted to take a nap.... so we loaded up in the car and went shopping in Statesboro instead. That was quite a treat... a 15 month old and a 10 month old in the mall!

On Sunday, Tyler and Nicolas came over to visit with us. Lanie has so much fun watching them! In fact, she had so much fun that she didn't want to go to bed until after 10pm!

On Friday, Lanie and I went to a Christmas Cookie Exchange in Brunswick. Jack and his mommy Jenn hosted the event, and did a wonderful job. Everyone brought their own cookie recipe to share... Yum! Needless to say, we had lots of calories to burn off after the party!

The 2007 Savannah Bridge Run!

Jack, Granny Dot, Lanie and I made the early morning ride up to Savannah for the Annual Savannah Bridge Run. Last year, Lanie ran the Savannah Bridge Run in "mommy's tummy", this year... she enjoyed the run in her jogger stroller! It was a chilly 47 degrees at the start of the race but it warmed up to be perfect weather for the run. Lanie was much more warm and cozy than we were, not to mention less exhausted!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Turkey Day! We had a great time visiting everyone up in Sylvania for Thanksgiving. We even visited with "cousins" Sarah and Colson, Camdyn, and Katelyn. Lanie wasn't much on the Turkey and Dressing meal, she prefered Sweet Potatoes, and her Bananas and Pears instead. It's a little difficult to eat Turkey without any teeth! We were able to get in a little after Thanksgiving Day Sale Shopping... on Saturday in Savannah. After the long holiday weekend it was off to see Dr. Ben for Lanie's 9 month check up. She received a great report from Dr. Ben and she weighed 21 lbs. 7 oz. and was 28 in. tall - a HUGE growth spurt in the last 3 months - who needs turkey and dressing?

When the Camera comes out.... this is how she smiles! What fun we are having now.... she's all over the place "creeping" but not crawling. She would rather stand up than do anything else, and does pretty well these days standing and playing at her Leap Frog Activity Table. Her favorite toys are anything that's not a toy - like her toothbrush (we still don't have any teeth to brush yet), paper, magazines, the remote control, a tape measure, and the telephone. Why do we even buy toys?

We had a fun Halloween with our friends from St.Simons. Lanie and I met Fain and Pace for lunch, and then, Fain and I took the girls to Target and Old Navy, dressed up in their Halloween costumes. They enjoyed it, and everyone enjoyed them! They got lots of attention! Then.... it was on to Granny and Grandaddy's for some Trick or Treating... no, not really, we just went over to show off Lanie's costume. The boys were the ones ready to Trick or Treat... Tyler was Freddy Kreuger, and Nicolas was a Ninja!

Lanie's 8 month old version of ByeBye!

We still have quite a bit of practice to do... but we're getting there. Today, she actually decided to do her "ByeBye" for the camera - which is not always the case! Also - a BIG milestone that we didn't capture on video today, but hopefully we will soon - she started crawling/scooting - but she goes backwards! She gets up on all fours like she's going to crawl, then stands up on her feet, and off of her knees - pushing backwards! Oh well, it's a start, even if we haven't got it perfected... we have plenty of time to practice... in the meantime - Mommy, Daddy and Madi better GET READY!

Here's Lanie with Aunt Dottie (Mami's sister) and Mami. Lanie, Mami and I took a road trip up to Atlanta to visit with Aunt Dottie for a few days. We had a great time, and also enjoyed a night out to dinner with our cousins, Tina, Robin, and Skip.

On Tuesday, Lanie enjoyed an visit from her friend Pace. Fain and I attempted to enjoy a mom's lunch together, but these days, the girls think that they must be a part of every meal - so we had to share!
